My Story

I am deeply honored to be a part of Alchemy Collective and a facilitator for your healing journey.  I believe we heal our traumas when we rest in the power of deep human connection with an open heart and a curious mind.  Healing is magical and magic can’t be forced.  Therefore, I leave my ego at the door:  I make no promises regarding outcomes, nor do I fix, give advice or psychologize.  Rather, I promise to see you in your wholeness and to behave as a loving and neutral witness.  Together we will enable transformation by drawing power from your strengths and from your connection with a loving higher power.

Experience and Expertise

I am a veteran licensed massage therapist, Upledger trained and certified Craniosacral Therapist and proud developer of a mind-body modality I call Mindwalking. Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle bodywork modality with its starting point in the cranial rhythm:  a fluctuating tide driven by the creation and reabsorption of cerebrospinal fluid within the ventricles of the brain.  The cranial rhythm is the first to appear after conception and the last to leave after clinical death.  It is a foundational rhythm that unites the spiritual world with the physical body.  It has the power to transform our physical, spiritual and emotional woundings in an instant.

Mindwalking gives the cranial rhythm a voice, connecting my consciousness with your own and guiding me safely into your own metaphors, imagery, movement patterns and personal portals to healing.
The process begins by sitting opposite each other with our hands extended and touching at the palms.  Once our nervous systems “sniff and shake hands,” we will begin to feel energy motility patterns and receive instruction from your inner wisdom about the work to be accomplished on the table that day.  Your hands will literally point to the areas requiring attention and establish contextual footholds for navigating the session.  The process is reflective, client-driven and models safe human connection to a nervous system recovering from the relational wounding inherent to trauma.  Palm to palm, soul to soul, I look forward to meeting you exactly where you are and I am exceedingly grateful that our paths have crossed.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle bodywork modality that has its starting point in something called the cranial rhythm. You can think of the cranial rhythm as a fluctuating tide powered by the generation and re-absorption of the cerebrospinal fluid within the ventricles (hollow parts) of the brain.

Although the cranial rhythm is generated in the head, it may be felt anywhere on the body. It is the first rhythm to appear at conception, and the last to leave, disappearing about 15 minutes after clinical death.

When I tap into your cranial rhythm, I feel for irregularities and when I find them, I use light touch to recruit your body’s self-healing abilities.

Everyone’s experience of the work is unique.  For some, feeling heat or vibration followed by pain relief is the norm. Others experience strong emotions or memories that the body has chosen to process and integrate. I am trained and committed to supporting you through anything and everything that comes up for you while on the table, safely and without judgement.

SomatoEmotional Release

When human beings go through trauma our body’s first choice is to release the emotional strain of the experience somewhat like the antelope – but sometimes that isn’t an option.

For instance, many people spend their childhoods living with ongoing physical or sexual abuse; a situation where there is no support or opportunity for processing. When this is the case, our body’s next best option is to wall off the energy of trauma, creating something called an “energy cyst”.

When an energy cyst is present in the body the tissues in the area do not work as well, and SomatoEmotional Release removes the energy of trauma from the tissues of the body and allow us to be a freer and move more authentic version of ourselves.

Glial Cell Work

In a nutshell, when I apply Craniosacral Therapy to the glia I use my hands to assess fundaments of the nervous system such as the blood-brain barrier, glymphatic system (basically the sewage system for the CNS) and the membranous and ventricular structures within the central nervous system. Glia link these structures and their work together, forming a biomechanical route that extends from bone to the depths of the nervous system. A focused feather light touch on the head from a competent therapist can easily communicate itself into brain tissue. The existence of this connection explains at least in part, how cranioscral therapy can move mountains leveraging only the weight of a nickel. We especially recommend work with the glia in cases of stroke, traumatic brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, brain tumor, Autism, Epilepsy, concussion, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s and all other neurodegenerative disease processes.
